pope-francis-tells-breastfeeding-moms-its-fine-to-feed-hungry-babies-in-church
During his homily Francis instructed the parents to go ahead and feed the babies if they started crying due to hunger. "We will now continue the ceremony; and if they start doing the 'concert' it's because they're not comfortable, either they're too hot, or they're not comfortable, or they're hungry. If they're hungry, breastfeed them, without fear, feed them, because that's a language of love" Francis said.
This isn't the first time that the Pope has told breastfeeding moms its OK to feed their children in church. Four years ago, during another baptism at the Sistine Chapel, Francis said "if they are hungry, mothers, let them eat, no worries, because here, they are the main focus."
What-we-know-about-funke-akindeles-supposed-casting-in-hollywoods-superhero-film-avengers-infinity-war
Well, investigations by LIB shows that Funke was never contacted by the movie makers and did not go for any casting. According to our findings, someone hacked the website of the movie and put Funke's name there and when a Nigerian spotted it, it immediately became an internet sensation. Even Funke got to know about it just the way many of us got to hear of it that Wednesday. This explains why she never acknowledged the news on any of her social media platforms.
The movie makers rectified the problem yesterday and removed her name, hence you cannot find it again on the cast list.

According to the statement, UN Under-Secretary-General, Jan Beagle, in a letter said that the appointment was ratified at the 55th plenary meeting of the 77th session of the General Assembly.
“The General Assembly decided to appoint you as an ad-ho member of the Investment Committee for a one-year term of office, beginning from 1st January 2018. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate you on your appointment and wish you success in your work,” he said.
The representative of the UN Secretary-General on the Investments Committee, Ms Carolyn Boykin, congratulated the minister on her appointment and welcomed her to the committee.
Boykin said that the purpose of the investments was to secure the pension entitlements of the international civil servants participating in the Fund.
“The fiduciary responsibility is to all parties concerned and it is the responsibility of the Secretary-General to ensure that those investments are managed to preserve the capital of the Fund. And to also obtain a long-term real rate of investment return that is in line with the actuarial assumptions, without jeopardising the capital of the Fund by taking excessive risks,” she said.
The UNJSPF provides pension, death, disability and the other related benefits for staff of the United Nations and other organizations admitted to membership in the Fund. It is a multiple employer defined benefit plan governed by the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Board, the Staff Pension Committee for each member organization, and a secretariat.
The Fund was established through UN General Assembly resolution 248 (III), passed in December 1948 and came into effect on January 23, 1949, as a permanent retirement scheme.
It currently serves 23 member organizations, with 128, 262 active participants and approximately 75,000 retirees in nearly 200 countries.

She said;
“At backstage, I was blaming everyone. I blamed my stylist, the
designer, and my manager. I even blamed the stage. But the truth is that
what is meant to be will be. I think with every lesson, there is a
blessing.
“I knew that when I got off the stage and opened my phone, there would
be so much talk about my fall. Like I expected, by the time I got to my
room, Instablog9ja already had 40,000 views.”
According to her, the AFRIMA’s experience was the first time she would
be experiencing such an embarrassing moment.
“You know everybody has a first time. Wizkid, Davido and even Beyonce
have suffered similar fate in the past. She fell from the stage. Rihanna
and Jennifer Lopez have fallen on stage as well.
“So, when you think about all these stars and their experiences, you
will realise that you are not different from them and you are not immune
to mistakes as well. I see my fall as a very humbling moment of my
life,” she added.
Immediately she left the Eko Hotel and Suites venue of AFRIMA, she went
to the studio with her manager and Klem, the songwriter who wrote ‘Yolo
Yolo’, to make a song.

44-million-reportedly-vanish-from-nia-vaults
Two months after Ambassador Ayodele Oke was sacked as Director General of the National Intelligence Agency [NIA] and two days after Ahmed Rufa’i Abubakar was appointed as its new DG, another scandal hit the intelligence agency at the weekend when $44million in cash kept in its vaults in Abuja was removed to an unknown destination. Daily Trust on Sunday learnt from top security sources that the money was surreptitiously removed even before the agency’s new DG resumes duty.
Tracing the origin of the money, the sources disclosed that the Jonathan administration released over $260million to NIA as General Intervention Fund. At the time Federal Government launched an investigation into the funds last year, only the cash discovered in Lagos and the $44million lying in the Abuja vault remained to be expended out of the original $260million, the sources said.
As soon as it started its probe, the Osinbajo-led committee directed that the money must remain in NIA’s vault as exhibit, Daily Trust on Sunday learnt. The sources however said, “While the money remained in the vault, certain powerful forces mounted pressure on the acting DG, Ambassador Mohammed Dauda, who was redeployed from Chad, to use the money since it is the property of the NIA but the acting DG refused.”
According to our sources, the “powerful forces” pushed very hard for the money to be tampered with, saying government had forgotten all about it, but for the firm resistance of the outgoing acting DG.
Our sources added, “But barely two days after President Buhari named a substantive head for the agency, a black bullion van was dispatched to NIA and the money was removed to an unknown destination around 6am on Friday. The team that removed the money was accompanied by a serving military officer who was posted to the intelligence outfit months ago as the finance officer.” The total amount of money that was taken away from NIA’s vaults on Friday was $44,285,996.
Daily Trust on Sunday learnt that the $43million that former DG Ambassador Ayodele Oke kept at an Ikoyi apartment was part of the funds earlier released to NIA by the Federal Government as General Intervention Fund. Oke was fired from his job in October last year, six months after he was handed an indefinite suspension following the discovery of the money at an Ikoyi apartment by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC. When a whistle blower led EFCC to the money, NIA under Oke said the money belonged to it and was meant for unspecified undercover operations.
An investigative panel headed by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo probed the matter and turned in a report to President Muhammadu Buhari which indicted Oke in the scandal. Weeks after he received the report, Buhari announced in October last year that he had accepted its recommendation to terminate Oke’s appointment.
Secretary to the Government of the Federation [SGF] Babachir David Lawal was also sacked on the same day based on the same committee’s report, though for a separate offence. Apart from Osinbajo, other committee members were National Security Adviser Major General Mohammed Monguno and Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice Abubakar Malami, SAN.
When Daily Trust on Sunday contacted the acting DG Ambassador Mohammed Dauda yesterday, he neither denied nor confirmed the allegation that money was moved from NIA’s vaults. He however promised to investigate the matter and get back to us, but did not do so before we went to press.
