2018 CWG: Nigeria Finishes 9th

Nigeria took the second best African side behind South Africa who won 37 medals in all.

Team Nigeria to the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia, finished overall 9th at the end of the event on Sunday.
The West African nation won nine gold, nine silver and six bronze medals, making it a total of 24 medals overall.
Nigeria started rather slowly but got on it’s feet when the para lifters event began.
The para lifters contributed the most to the medals haul.
Nigeria finished the second best African side behind South Africa who won 37 medals in all.
Host Australia emerged the overall winner with massive 80 gold, 59 silver and 59 bronze medals.
